Autistic children and sleep

Yifang is a PhD student currently researching the relationship between sleep (especially daytime napping) and academic performance in school-aged children with autism and typically developing children, conducting a comparative study between the UK and China. Her methods include using actigraphy to measure sleep patterns.

Before beginning her PhD, she completed an MSc in Psychology of Education at UCL, focusing on the effects of social media use on sleep. She has also been actively involved in volunteering and group training work with autism communities in both China and the UK, which sparked her strong interest in her doctoral research topic.
